Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

·         Attend meetings, seminars and programs to learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.

·         Networking and building your network of contacts so that you can grow your portfolio

·         Calculate premiums and establish payment method.

·         Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to analyse insurance program and suggest additions or changes, or to change benefits.

·         Gather data from clients to obtain and provide information and quotes when proposals are made for a policy.

·         Customise insurance plans to suit individual customers, often covering a variety of risks.

·         Develop marketing strategies to compete with other individuals or companies who sell insurance.

·         Interview prospective clients to obtain data about their financial resources and needs, the physical condition of the person to be insured, and to discuss any existing coverage

·         Explain features, advantages and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans.

·         Ensure that policy requirements are fulfilled, including any necessary medical examinations and the completion of appropriate forms.

·         Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and handling policy renewals.

·         Seek out new clients and develop clientele by networking to find new customers and generate lists of prospective clients.

·         Select companies that offers type of coverage requested by client to underwrite policy.

·         Sell various types of insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of insurance companies, including life insurance, income protection, medical and dental insurance.

·          Gather detail from clients in order to introduce business to our partners to cover specialist areas, giving you greater earning potential.

·         All clients belong to Proactive Medical & Life Ltd.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum of 3 A Levels or Equivalent.

Your communication skills (both verbal and written) need to be top notch, especially when it comes to giving customer service.

It also helps if you have some of the following skills:

·         Good analytical skills

·         Sales and negotiating skills

·         Confident (you’ll be doing lots of presentations)

·         Organised

·         Ability to make own decisions

·         Honesty

Future Opportunities

This role has been created to build on the opportunity for growth and development for the company.  Our targets include goal setting for year 1, year 2 and year 3.

 

Year 1.    0- 6 months

To learn about new products and services, learn new skills, and receive technical assistance in developing new accounts.  Growth and development with back office system and becoming proficient in sales of protection products.

 

2.     6 months +

Once trained and competent in all areas of services, you will be supported in building your own business under our very strong umbrella.  You will build up a portfolio of clients, which will create continuous earning potential.  

3.   Business Development Management Opportunities

Once fully competent, you will have the opportunity to build your own team of sales executives, while maximising further earning potential and building growth for your business and our brand!

Areas of sales include: PERSONAL PROTECTION, COMMERCIAL & GENERAL INSURANCE PRODUCTS.

 Additional Notes

The role has uncapped earning potential, so the more business you write the more you earn.

So what can you expect to earn in this job?  Conservative Figures:

When you first start as a newbie, you’re looking at taking home around £18,000 and £25,000 a year.

Get some more experience in the role and you can earn between £30000 and £50000 a year.

Reach the high heights of senior sales executive and your salary is uncapped earnings - the sky is your limit.
