As a PROFESSIONAL what do you look for in a health insurance policy?

The aspects of an insurance policy that policyholders care about most are: quality of product, the level of premium cover at minimal cost. These elements combined with good customer service , clarity of written communication, choice of consultants, ease of contact, ease of purchase, easy understandable underwriting, management of claims, ease of pay-outs and medical treatment provided in the event of an acute medical necessity are the crux of what having a good policy is all about. Many of our corporate clients, or professional clients to be, contact us, either requesting quotes as new policy holders, or advice and guidance on their existing policies. The above elements are always the focus. Precisely why, here at Proactive Medical & Life, we feel it is critical to deal with the whole of market. So with this in mind we thought we would share with you a proposal that is currently very rewarding.  Western Provident Association otherwise known as WPA, an extremely well recognised brand in the health insurance market.   As a joke we sometimes refer to WPA as “Why Pay Anything” wouldn’t that be nice? However with a deal like this it’s almost as good as it sounds. It is uniquely suited to both professionals (within their suited recognised professions, of which there are many) and self-employed / company directors. However the offer is open to everybody, it’s just that those two options give the client a further discount. The current offer allows the second oldest person to go absolutely free for the first year, effectively halving the premium (if you don’t have children), offering a substantial discount on a fully comprehensive product. This unique product known as Flexible Health Elite (Their Top Product) offers unlimited inpatient/outpatient, therapies, cancer cover, access to the Premium London hospitals (if chosen) and a unique element of £500,000 emergency abroad cover. This is backed up by a 10% discount at renewal the following year, allowing the client to further continue benefitting from savings. Also, since many of our clients also look for cover for dental, optical and health screenings elements, this product manages to incorporate exactly that, offering up to £450 for dental, £200 optical and £200 health screenings, effectively obviating the need for the extra cost of a cash plan or a separate policy on the side.  This offer is valid until the 27th of March 2014, you can find further details here.

A recent example of this policy in effect allowed a solicitor and his family with an annual premium of £5,100 on their prior policy to ‘Switch’ to this WPA product at an annual premium of £2800 with no compromise on their cover whatsoever. It must be noted however, that WPA are stringent when dealing with conditions, but given the right negotiation with underwriters, this can many times be overcome successfully.
